Orihuela is preparing to celebrate its traditional medieval event, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel back in time and immerse yourself in history's golden age. The city's streets will be embellished and filled with music, dance, puppets, and theatrical entertainment on February 3, 4, and 5. The aroma of spices and the sound of coins hitting cash registers will blend with medieval music and the shouts of vendors.
The market will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and will feature 300 craft and food stalls as well as more than 20 trade workshops, some of which will offer the public the opportunity to actively participate. There will be 1000 linear meters of craft stalls and taverns. Additionally, there will also be five areas with kid-friendly attractions and activities.
The market will also host falconry exhibitions and cavalry tournaments. There will also be camels and donkeys, parades and eleven groups of Moors and Christians. The city's museums will remain open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the weekend, decorated in the medieval style and some of them will host a special program.
This year there will be more stalls, more shows, animation and decoration of the city streets to take Orihuela back to the Middle Ages, where the three cultures that give life to this medieval era: Christian, Jewish and Muslim, will come together to celebrate.

La ciudad de Orihuela se prepara para celebrar su tradicional evento medieval, una oportunidad única para viajar en el tiempo y sumergirse en la época dorada de la historia. Los días 3, 4 y 5 de febrero, las calles de la ciudad se vestirán de gala y se llenarán de música, bailes, títeres y animaciones teatrales.
